Asia is the largest and most populous continent. Its area is 44.5 million km², which is 8.7% of the total area of ​​the Earth and 29.8% of the landmasses. About 60% of the human population lives here.
It is bordered in the north by the Arctic Ocean, in the east by the Pacific Ocean and its tributaries, in the southeast by Australia and Oceania, in the south by the Indian Ocean, in the southwest by the Red Sea, the Suez Canal and the Mediterranean Sea, in the west by the Black Sea, the Caucasus mountains, the Caspian Sea, the Ural River, and the Ural Mountains, and it is separated from America by the Bering Strait.
